Research on preserving red flesh dragon fruit by antimicrobial packaging containing polyguanidin

The method of preserving dragon fruit with smart packaging films (improved in terms water permeability and air permeability) to improve the microclimate is evaluated as a suitable for these condition facilities Vietnam gives best efficiency. In this study, red flesh was packaged antibacterial film (LLDPE-G) made based on linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) combined polyhexamethylene guanidine (PHMG). objective study determine effect ratio LLDPE-G area/agricultural products’ mass (cm²/g), storage temperature (ºC) oxygen carbon dioxide balance package, nutritional sensory quality red-flesh during storage. Experimental results showed that area/fruit 2.00 cm²/g, appropriate 6ºC, corresponding equilibrium at 3.77% O2 gas concentration 5.84% CO2concentration. After 20 days storage, natural weight loss reached 7.86%, still retained its characteristics (with index 50.55), total soluble solids (TSS) 14.56oBrix, vitamin C content 9.72 mg/100 g. These indicators met food hygiene safety standards microbiology according regulations good agricultural practices (GAP).
